About Neurodivergent News

Neurodivergent News reports news about neurodivergent people, and the decisions that affect us, from the UK and around the world. We cover autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic and other neurodivergent lives. We put the UK first, then international news.

We write from a neuro-affirming point of view. We use identity-first language ("autistic people"). We report on policy, such as benefits, SEND and NHS waiting times, by asking how it affects neurodivergent people. We do not campaign for any political party.

How we work: AI-written ยท AI fact-checked

Written and fact-checked with AI from named, linked sources. Stories on sensitive topics are approved by David before publishing.

In practice:

  • An AI tool reads public news sources and writes each article in our own words, with short quotes only and a link to every source.
  • AI then checks each article against its named sources for facts, fairness and tone, and against our editorial rules.
  • Stories on sensitive topics (named people, health, the courts, politics or safeguarding) are approved by David Gray, our editor, before they are published.
  • Every article lists its sources at the end, so you can read them for yourself.

That is why our byline reads "Neurodivergent News desk, edited by David Gray". An article is only presented as written personally by David when he wrote it himself and says so.

We never invent quotes or facts. We do not give medical advice. Stories about "cures", ABA or an "autism epidemic" are reported critically, never promoted. We do not name or expose private individuals.

From NeuroHub

Some pieces are about new posts, podcasts and videos from NeuroHub Connect itself. They carry a "From NeuroHub" label, because they are our own work and not independent news. Each one links to the original.

Who runs it
