Privacy on Neurodivergent News
Neurodivergent News is run by NeuroHub Connect CIC (company 17563945). We're the "controller" of the small amount of personal data described here. Contact: enquiries@neurohubcommunity.org, Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE.
Reading the site
No cookies, no analytics, no adverts and no trackers. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for a short time, for security. If you hide the Phoenix assistant, choose light/dark mode, or choose whether to see a daily issue one page at a time, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. We can't see it.
Phoenix
The "Ask Phoenix" button and search bar are run by our Phoenix assistant. What you type goes to Phoenix and is covered by Phoenix's privacy notice.
WhatsApp help button
The help button is a link to WhatsApp. Nothing is sent until you press it and choose to message us. After that, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies, and we use your message only to reply to you.
The morning email
If you sign up, we keep only your email address. Brevo, our email provider, also keeps the date, time and IP address of when you confirmed, as proof that you agreed. Brevo is based in the EU. We use your email only to send the daily news email. We don't track opens or clicks, and we never share or sell the list. To check that sign-ups aren't spam, we briefly keep scrambled (hashed) copies of the IP address and email, and delete them within 24 hours. Our legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email. After that, we keep only your address on a "do not email" list, so you're never emailed by mistake.
Signing up may say something about you
Signing up for a neurodivergent news list could suggest you're neurodivergent. We collect nothing else, and we protect the list accordingly.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email us at the address above. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
